 Contemporary Natural Dyeing

A Contemporary Take on an Ancient Craft

A One Day Workshop with Jo Kinross

In this workshop you learn about the fundamentals of natural dyeing using easily accessible plants, extracts and pigments.

We will explore eco printing, immersion dyeing, solar dyeing, botanical inks and using resists to create patterns on fabric, felt and paper.

In addition to the practical component of the day, we will also look at the latest exciting developments in
natural dyeing, including organic indigo vats, how to extract pigments from plants and - all environmentally responsible and ecologically sustainable of course!
