PAINTING - The Next Step

Create a transition to a new phase of artistic and creative practice. Modeled on a “studio style” of teaching and a strong practical and theory based guide to the formal aspects of art making and the medium of painting. An opportunity to become immersed in painting and forge your own artistic direction and confidence and develop your unique intuitive skills. Moving from set projects as guides to identifying individual aims through sourcing images, developing concepts, bringing a work to completion and establishing new methods of work practice.
Gain the necessary set of skills relating to spatial awareness, shape and direction, colour direction, colour and tonal space, traditional compositional structure and develop the experience of the everyday as visually extraordinary and how to translate this into a clearly defined art work.
The greater learning experience realized in these classes comes about as a hands on discovery that you will share with all the other participants.

* This fee secures your place in the class for the 8 week term.  Classes are not available on a weekly basis.

There are 4 terms each year, you enroll at the beginning of each term but the content for each term is different, so you can continue on for all 4 terms if you wish to.
